Book review "Herzens Sucht"

The roman "Herzens Sucht" is written by Birgit Schlieper. It was published in the year 2008. The book is about a 15 years old girl, her name is Nele. She is anorexic and explains the causes and consequences of this dangerous addiction and sickness.

The reasons why Nele is anorexic is that she is searching for the acceptation of her friends and of her family. In fact she means that her parents prefer her brother Robert who does a practical in England. After a collapse in gym she was taken in the hospital. There the doctor diagnosed the sickness anorexia, but Nele doesn´t agree with his diagnosis. After her stay at the hospital she wants to slim down. In the autumn holidays her parents take her for two weeks to a special clinic for anorexic persons. There she gets to know a boy called Lars that has cancer. They get good friends. After two weeks and the see off Nele understands that she can´t solve her problems by herself in the way of hungering.

In my opinion this roman is very hard but interesting because it describes in a clearly way the live of an anorexic girl, her feelings, her thoughts, her fears, her wishes and hopes. I recommend this book to all people interested in that topic and especially to all girls that tend to hunger.

When I come home from school sometimes I am fed up with all homewoks that we get. I mostly do the homeworks after eating at midday. Then I´ve got the whole afternoon for myself. After the homework and the learning I do something with my friends for example going to bregenz. There I can relax and forget all the stress that I had before. It´s always funny with them. When I´m back home I often listen to music so I can repose and think about everything that happened in my day. Everyday I try to go early to bed but it doesn´t work all time. So in the morning I am tired and not rested. So I can´t always be as attentiv as I should be to notice everything my teachers say. But when I´m tired, I can´t be concentrated on my work. But when I have a test it´s important to be well-rested and attentive. So if I would be, my marks would probably be better.

Here´s the funny story that you asked for:

The 1st June was a normal schoolday I got up early in the morning and I got ready for school. For breakfast I ate an apple and I drank a glass of orange juice like every day. So I waited outside till the schoolbus came, but the bus didn´t come. I might be too late I thought and run to school. I thought I was dreaming when the school door was closed. I phoned my friend Paul. He told me that today was 1st June and that we haven´t got school. I was fed up because I´d forgett it.
Now to your problem:
Probably you eat too much chocolate. This might be the reason for your spots. If you think you put on weight, eat more healthy food like vegetables or some more fruits. Fruits and vegetables are not only important but also healthy for you. Another point could be that you drink too much coke or stuff like that. Drink more water ! So that is all I want you to know. I hope I helped you a little bit.
My favourite TV programm right now is "Germany´s next Topmodel". Why do you ask you know that (:. I also like the soap opera "Anna & die Liebe". It´s very interresting.

Dear Larissa,

I have to tell you something. But first I want to know how you are doing and what you are doing all the time. I am fine but yesterday something really strange happened.

My parents went to the cinema and so I was alone at home. I was hungry so I first made a pizza. While eating the pizza I was looking TV. It felt so comfortable. Suddenly I heard a strange noise that I´d never heard before. My heart started bumping. I was really scared. So I decided to go to bed, but I couldn´t sleep. It was so scary ! Then my door opened. My heart stood still I saw a figure standing in front of me but it was only my mother. I was so happy to see her. The noises that I heard before were my parents. It was really frightening. Have you ever been in such a horrible situation ?
Next week my parents will go out, do you want to sleep at my place ?

Dear Larissa

I have some good news to tell you. You know I won a ticket for a Patrice concert last month, so let me tell you something of my really exciting day with him and the band.

The day started at 8.00am I stood up and made me ready. I was really nervous. At 10.00am the great moment had arrived they picked me up and we made conversation. We were hungry so we ate a pizza at about 11.30 in a pizzeria. After it the last rehursle begun. Later on we wanted to go shopping I showed them the Messepark in Dornbirn they liked it. Then we wanted to relax a little bit so we went in the" Home of Balance". At about 19.00pm the limousin tooked us to the Conrad Sohm hall and there the band checked the instruments. One hour later the concert begun. I really enjoyed it. It was exactly 22.00pm and the after Party started. On the party I get to know some other fans we get friends and changed our telephone number. We celebrated a little and had a lot of fun. So my exciting day ended at 23.30.

As a present I get a packet with a new CD, autographs a picture from us and a T-shirt. It was so an amazing day and so many things happened. (:

Martian´s Attack

Yesterday Ufo fanatics, a crowd of people, government officials, the police, TV representatives and some soldiers gathered in the Nevada desert to welcome the martians. Then, the great moment happened, the UFO landed and the martians came out. The leader of the aliens claimed that they came in peace. But then, the arrival turned dramatically. A dove flew towards the leader, he put out his gun and shooted the bird. Most human beings had no chance to survive that horrible massacre, the aliens had laser guns. Only a few people survived that "war".

Thanks for your letter I´m very happy to hear from you.

I understand your problem. Try to talk to a good friend or to your mother. They will understand your problem. Go out with your friends it might help you. So you get to know them better. They like you how you are.

I also have got a problem. I´m very good in school and so many pupil call me a geek, nobody wants to be my friend. I have told to my teacher and my mother but they say that they are only jealous because of my marks. But I want to have friends and not to be an outsider. What should I do ?
